MMXXV . M.K Residence
Born out of the client's desire for an authentic and stately design for his residence, the villa's massing and layout were informed by those of palatial designs and architecture. The facades emerged as a hybridisation between the old and the new, where Classical design elements were reinterpreted to suit modern tastes and technologies, while adhering to the principles of focality, symmetry, gradation, and repetition. The fenestration was created to look formal and grand yet still inviting, with floor to ceiling windows across two floors, lending great transparency within the villa between the inside and the outside.
